Ingredients
Ingredients of the Cake: 1 cup of Semolina . 1 cup of Sugar. 1 cup of Yogurt. 1 spoon of Olive Oil. 1 spoon of Baking Powder. 1/4 cup of Almond Nuts. Ingredients of the Syrup: 1 cup of Sugar. 1 cup of Water. 1 spoon of Lemon Juice. 1 spoon of Rose Water.
Directions
To Prepare the Cake: Mix the Semolina, Sugar, Yogurt, and Olive Oil. Put some sesame oil in the bottom of the pan to avoid sticking, then pour the mixture. Cut it in rectangular or diamond shaped pieces. Put one half almond on top of each piece, in the middle center. Put it in the Oven at 350 F for about 20-30 minutes until the bottom is deep golden in color. Broil the top until golden. Do not let it get too dry or too hard. Take the cake out of the oven. Cut it into thin rectangular or diamond shaped pieces. Immediately, Pour the cool syrup on the hot cake. Bon appetit. To Prepare the Syrup: Mix the water, sugar, lemon juice, and the Rose Water in a pan. Boil for few minutes. Let it get cool.
