Ingredients

Ingredients of the meat:
1 lb. lean beef, cut into very small pieces .
2 medium white onion.
1/2 spoon of pepper.
1/2 spoon of salt.
1/4 cup of pine nuts.
Ingredients of the pastry:
4 cups of white flour.
4 spoons of butter.
1 spoon of salt.
2 cups of water.

Directions

Chop the onion very fine.
Add the meat ,the salt, the pepper and fry them with a little of butter.
Knead the flour with the butter and water. Leave them for half an hour. 
Then we cut the pastry into thin 3-inch circles.
Place a spoonful of the stuffing on each of the cut circled dough.
Turn the other half over and press the edges together very well.
Heat oil and deep fry.
Variation: They may be baked instead. preheat oven to 450F, 15-20 minutes. (Too long baking toughens them.).
Serve with Tabouli or Yogurt.
